Mariela Lopez-Nuñez, Holistic & Creative Groomer | Owner
Animal lover and advocate. When living in Mexico she started her own farm at 8 years old. At the age of 12, she started rescuing stray dogs and getting them fixed to rehome to loving families . Here in Chicago, after not finding a suiting job, she decided to follow her passion for pets and became a certified dog groomer. For over 6 years, she's been dedicated to care and love all pooches she gets her hands on, now using only a holistic approach.
Her goal is to become a Master Groomer and compete all around the world.
Fernando Nunez | Holistic Dog Groomer &Handstripping Expert
Fernando has been in the industry for several year, specializing on hand stripping for all those wiry needs. He is passionate about providing quality care tailored to each pet's needs. As a volunteer member of SCORE, Fernando also dedicates his expertise to helping small business owners succeed. He currently owns two miniature schnauzers Tula & Eva.
Monica Marsan | Professional Show Poodle Groomer
Monica has been grooming for over 5 years. Her passion is to show her two poodles, Naga and Zuko in CKC which are now Ruby Champions. Monica just recently won Best in Show at her first grooming competition with Naga, giving her the opportunity to open up her skills to new area of the pet industry. You can see her passion in every groom.
Eladio Joachin/ Holistic Dog Groomer
Eladio is our newest addition to the Spaw. He started as a bather and now has gained all his knowledge and became a groomer. He is amazing with Doodles, Poodles and big breeds. His attention to detail and amazing care has made him a favorite with your beloved pets.
Josh Vertiz/ Bather
Josh has been our bather for almost two years and we love how caring and passionate he is with every pet that comes.
Laila, Our Reason for Holistic Grooming
Laila, my beautiful girl and the reason why Bohemian Spaw was created.
After finding out she was allergic to many things, and seeing how medicine would barely alleviate the skin itchiness, made me start looking for a holistic or natural approach. Oatmeal baths, dead sea mud scrubs, and hot oil treatments, followed by a raw diet has been the only solution to her skin problems. Now Laila is sharing her secret beauty routines to have more puppies with itch-free skin and glowing coats!
